About Fostering Our Future
High-Quality Foster Care
Through our 100 Churches initiative, we provide training and support to foster families through church-led partnerships to solve the foster care crisis.
- We train prospective foster families through our online foster parent pre-licensing training program, Foundations for Strong Families and Supportive Communities. This pre-license training has been approved by DCF and is available online for all 67 counties in Florida.
- When out-of-home foster care is necessary, children are placed in safe, stable foster homes or kinship care placements in the counties where they live.
- 100 Churches get children to permanency faster — whether to family members, their parents, or adoption — and have a 90% foster parent retention rate with zero cases of substantiated child maltreatment.

Recruit, Train & Equip Foster Families
It takes compassion, courage, and determination to become a foster parent. Many of the children and youth in the foster care system are in crisis mode due to a history of abuse, neglect, or abandonment, and are in desperate need of a safe harbor and place to call home. We help churches recruit and train high-quality foster families to meet this need in their community. -
Recruit & Train Support Volunteers
Foster care support teams consist of trained volunteers who are assigned to a particular foster family and are committed to providing meals, babysitting, transportation, or other practical help to that family. Foster families who are surrounded by a Foster Care Support Team can serve more children over longer periods of time and provide a safer and more stable environment to their nuclear family and foster children.
